In 2006, Isong Oguamanam was one of the winners in the Commonwealth Short Story Competition. Commonwealth Writers is the cultural programme of the Commonwealth Foundation. The Commonwealth Foundation is an intergovernmental organisation established in 1965, resourced by and reporting to Commonwealth governments, and guided by Commonwealth values and priorities.


IN 2008 Uduak Oguamanam graduated from the University of Leicester with a Master’s of Arts degree in New Media and Society, in 2008/2009. Uduak received an invitation in 2008, to attend the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus in Berlin, Germany on the strength of one of her screenplays ‘Unfinished Business.’
